NOLA'S JUNE 14...Like a sign from above, the rain that had been coming down steadily all day Saturday subsided around 5 p.m., giving way to golden skies as we played outdoors at Nola's BBQ down at the lake. There were no fast ferry sightings (Canadiens you don't know what you're missing), but Charlotte was definitely the place to be Saturday night, with lots of people stopping in to Nola's to have a drink, eat pulled pork and listen to music rising above the soothing din of motorcyles on Lake Avenue. Thanks to a very fun, enthusiastic crowd who danced it up on the slightly crooked parking lot in front of the stage, we were all feeling the love and wanted to keep on playing past 10. Sound ordinance, what sound ordinance? Thanks to the friends and families who came out to see us, happy 22nd anniversary Dickie and Donna and it was so nice to meet a lot of new people who came up to say hello. Thanks also Leo (see I didn't forget!) for taking the nice photos here...
